Vietnam gold is usually quoted in Vietnamese dong per tael. One tael, locally called one luong, equals 37.5 grams. The SJC gold bar is the main domestic benchmark, while 9999 ring gold is commonly watched for smaller accumulation and retail comparison.
The XAU/USD quote is shown as a global reference in USD per troy ounce. The domestic premium is an approximate conversion into VND per tael and can move with supply, regulation, USD/VND, brand liquidity and dealer spreads.
